I have a pavilion 563w with windows xp home every couple of minutes it just shutsdown into what looks like system standby if have erases the entire c drive and reloaded it fine but same problem

IT LOOKS LIKE SYSTEM STANDBY BECAUSE THE MONITOR GOES BLACK AND THE LIGHT TURNS FROM GREEN TO YELLOW THE CPU JUST STOPS AND THE LIGHT GOES FROM GREEN TO YELLOW ALTHOUGH THE FAN AND CD-ROM STILL SPIN PLESE HELP I HAD TO PULL THE 1980 COMPUTER OUT OF THE CLOSET TO TRY AND GET SUPPORT

try going to www.hp.com. I found some 82 documents listed at
http://www.hp.com/cg....x=8&submit.y=4

all pertaining to this particular model, many for troubleshooting common problems, maybe enen yours.
