I recently downloaded something that alerted my virus software.
Out of habit, I tried to clean, then deleted the infected file...assuming it was the virus file.

NOW, I can't access the Internet or my network...it's like my NIC card has been disabled.
(lights are still blinking on card).

I was considering a clean install, but I would rather not at this time.
Any suggestions would be helpful.

hi,

if you are still having issues and suspect that it is malware related I would start with our malware forum and see if they can make sure you don't have any malware installed.
