First of all I decided to place this thread in here because the thread is based reliant upon Vista, If it seems fit to be moved somewhere else I don't mind at all.

I plan to build a new computer, and have everything currently picked out and am smack dab ($14 over counting shipping) on it. Anyways, I definitely intend to get Vista, and I am not sure whether my MB will be compatible. (However by the final release date, the Vista drivers for my MB should be released, shouldn't they?) I currently have Beta 2 and a key for it, which I plan to try out on the new system, if that is possible.
The MB I have picked out is a Gigabyte GA-M55SLI-S4 (S series, am2 socket, etc.) . Also, if my MB doesn't support installation of Vista, will it support upgrade from XP?

Thanks

Vista will work for the motherboard i dont know any it wont work with, the drivers are for the extra hardware and extra features(wireless, audio, stuff like that), All the main hardware drivers are built in, it would install and work just fine. Also remember you need a new key for the final the beta keys don't work they changed the product validation.

But isn't Vista 64-bit ONLY? :whistling:
Which means only AMD's and the HyperThread Intels can run it.
Right?
