You are running HJT from an unsafe location. An easy way to correct this is to do the following:

Download a copy of HJTsetup.exe from one of these locations and save it to your Desktop:Location one.
Location two.
Location three.
  • Double click HJTsetup.exe to begin installation.
  • By default it will install to C:\Program Files\HijackThis.
  • Continue to click Next in the setup dialogue boxes until you get to the Select Addition Tasks dialogue.
  • Put a check by Create a desktop icon then click Next again.
  • Continue to follow the prompts from there.
  • At the final dialogue box uncheck the box to the left of "Launch Hijackthis" and then click Finish
Do this BEFORE you proceed!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You will need to make a copy of these instructions because you have to disconnect from the internet to complete the fix. Either print them out or copy and paste them into Notepad.
Preparation
1) Download SDFix by AndyManchesta from here and save it to your Desktop.
Double click SDFix.exe and it will extract the files to the drive that contains the Windows Directory - typically C:\SDFix.
2) You will need to know how to boot into Safe Mode.
Instructions can be found here.
3) Log off from the internet and disconnect your modem cable for the duration of the fix.
Removal
1) Boot into Safe Mode using your usual account.
2) Navigate to, and open, the SDFix folder and double click RunThis.bat to begin the fix.
  • Type Y to begin the cleanup process.
  • It will remove any Trojan Services and Registry Entries that it finds then prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
  • Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
  • When the PC restarts the Fixtool will run again and complete the removal process then display Finished - press any key to end the script and load your Desktop icons.
  • Once the icons have loaded, the SDFix report will open on screen and a copy will be saved into the SDFix folder as Report.txt
    (Report.txt will also be copied to Clipboard ready for posting back on the forum).
Post a new HJT log, Report.txt AND a description of how your PC is running.
Also, run HJT and click on Open the Misc Tools section.
  • Click Open Uninstall Manager...
  • Click Save list... and save it to your Desktop.
  • Copy and paste the file uninstall_list.txt into your next reply.
First of all novisiate thanks for your help! I did what you asked me but when the pc restarted (after the runthis.bat in safe mode) the fixtool didn't run in normal mode now. So the report file and generally this process is incomplete i think. HJT run in normal mode. The PC is running as before but i went in temp files in my computer where i saw the little devils exmodul and exinjs having party. A lot versions of them. What exactly are these things? Anyway the three lists that you asked me are the followings:
Hello everybody. I think that noviciate may be busy as i haven't got a reply about my problem but i understand this. I thank him anyway! If anyone could help me please. After i did what noviciate told me its true that in task manager exmodul and exinjs disappeared but... there are still as exe files into temp folder. If i delete them manually they keep reappearing and multiply themselves. This is the problem. Thank you for your kind attention. I look forward for an answer.
Apologies about the delay in posting - I didn't receive an email notifying me of your first reply.
Your uninstall list indicates that you don't have either an anti-virus program installed or a third party software firewall, although there are leftovers of previous installations. In these circumstances I recommend that you back up all data that you wish to keep and reformat your computer, rather than try to clean it. Not only will it be quicker to do this, there is no guarantee that all the malicious files can be identified and removed from your PC.
There is also the problem of damage being done to the Operating System that may make it less secure and therefore more open to infection in the future.
If you don't want to do this then I will attempt to clean up your machine, but if it was mine, I would reinstall - the choice is yours.
One particular nasty that you had/have on your computer has a backdoor capability that gives a third party the same access to your PC as if they were sat in front of it.
If you use this PC for online banking or shopping then it advisable to contact your bank and have your accounts changed and any credit cards that you may have cancelled.
You should also use another PC, not this one, and change any passwords that you have use online to access any forums, eBay etc...
When Should I Format, How Should I Reinstall
If you go for the reinstall, I can provide you with links to free software that will enable you to keep your machine clean online.
If you prefer to try and clean it up, let me have a fresh HJT log and we'll take it from there.
There is no need for apologizing.. but thank you for being gentle. So you suggest a format should be the most appropriate action. I have decided to follow this road so i don't bother you all the time. If you can i would like to have a list of useful programs in order to keep my computer safe. And sth else, how you discovered this back door? i really want to know how you people looking for problems through hijack this.
Noviciate in the previous post i was 85% ready for a format but on second thought i prefer to give it a shot. So, can we clean this mess? If you don't have time it's ok, i will do the format. If you enjoy destroying this kind of things then your help is more than welcome! Please let me know..
There are a few free firewalls available.
Zone Alarm: Available here.
Kerio: Available here.
Outpost: Available here.
It is important to note that you should only have one firewall installed at a time, but you can download all three to your Desktop and install each in turn to see which one you prefer.
Understanding and Using Firewalls: http://www.bleepingc...tutorial60.html
I use Zone Alarm on both my PCs, but I know people who are just as happy with the others, so take your pick and install one.
Download the thirty day free trial of Kaspersky Anti-Virus from one of the locations here.
Download the manual for the program from one of the locations here.
  • Read the manual first!
  • Install the program.
  • Update it.
  • Run a full scan and allow KAV to delete everything it finds.
  • Post a report from KAV on what it has detected - the manual will explain how in Reports - page 153.
  • Also post a fresh HJT log.
Hello noviciate. I hadn't got the time to do wkat you asked me until know. I installed zone alarm pro, kaspersky and run the test. The first time the pc stopped working when i fixed the first results (see 1.) but i believe it was just a coincedence. So i restarted the whole scan in folder ''my computer'' and i saved the report (see 2.). Final i run HJT but not in safe mode (see 3.)
Problem!!! the 2. i cannot attach it seems to be 20 MB!!!!! it must be all the test so i attach what i think it is the report (see 4.) i read the page 153 about reports but i cannot find it know in kaspersky. if you want me to run again this anti virus just ask it. Thanks and sorry for being so lost in space with kaspersky.
You will need to make a copy of these instructions because you have to disconnect from the internet to complete the fix. Either print them out or copy and paste them into Notepad.
Preparation
1) Download Fixwareout.exe by LonnyRJones from one of these two locations, and save it to your Desktop:
http://downloads.sub.../Fixwareout.exe
http://www.bleepingc.../Fixwareout.exe
2) Download the trial version of AVG Anti-Spyware from here and save it to your Desktop.
If you already have this program installed, skip to Updating AVG Anti-Spyware: below.
* Please note that this program was formerly known as Ewido anti-spyware 4.0. Taken from the Ewido website:
ewido anti-spyware 4.0 will now continue under the new product name AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5. AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5 contains the same ewido technology, but with some further enhanced features:
Highly improved cleaning
Lower resource usage
Additional languages supported
All current licenses for ewido anti-spyware 4.0 will continue to be valid, and users can change over to the new AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5 for free.
Double click the avgas-setup file to begin installation and follow the prompts.
When the program has been installed, and you click the Finish button, AVG A-S will open.
  • Updating AVG Anti-Spyware:
    By default AVG A-S is configured to update automatically so, if you have an active internet connection, it should do so following installation. If you are unsure whether or not it has done so, do the following:
  • Click the Update icon at the top and under "Manual Update" - click the Start update button.
  • Either AVG A-S will update or inform you that no update was available.
  • If you cannot access the internet with the infected PC, or you are having problems updating, you can download the signatures file from here.
    Once you have installed AVG A-S, double click avgas-signatures-full-current.exe to update it.
    Disabling the Resident Shield:
  • By default the Resident Shield is active but as it may interfere with the process of cleaning your PC, it will need to be disabled.
    (When the PC has been cleaned you can activate the shield again, if you wish.)
  • Click the Shield icon at the top and under "Resident shield is..." - click active.
  • This should now change to inactive.
    Changing Recommended Actions
  • Click the Scanner icon at the top and then click the Settings Tab.
  • Under "How to act?" click Recommended actions and select "Quarantine" from the menu.
You can now close AVG A-S.
AVG A-S is designed to be used to both scan for and remove malicious files and also to run in real-time alongside, but not replace, your existing anti-virus program to give an added layer of protection.
Both the Resident Shield and Automatic Updates will only be available for the thirty day trial period, after that AVG A-S will revert to a stand-alone scanner which you can keep and manually update for free and use in a similar way to Ad-Aware SE Personal, Spybot S&D etc.
Should you wish to benefit from the real-time protection, you will need to upgrade the program. To do this, simply open it and click on the Buy now button.
3) You will need to set Windows to show All Hidden Files and Folders.
Instructions can be found here.
** These files are hidden to stop you accidentally removing something important.
It is advisable to hide them again after fixing your computer. **
Please Note: You will need to remain connected to the internet during this fix.
Removal
1) Run HijackThis as you did to generate a log, but this time click on 'Do a system scan only'.
Place a checkmark in the boxes to the left of the following entries, by clicking on them:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [dmgum.exe] C:\WINDOWS\system32\dmgum.exe
CLOSE ALL OPEN WINDOWS AND BROWSERS - EXCEPT HJT and click on Fix checked
2) Run HJT and click on Open the Misc Tools section.
Click on delete a file on reboot...
Copy and paste the following into the "File name:" text box and then click Open:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\dmgum.exe
When you are asked "Do you want to restart your computer now?", click OK.
Your PC MUST reboot fully to delete the file!
3) Double click Fixwareout.exe to start the Fixwareout Setup Wizard
  • Click Next > Install.
  • Ensure that the box to the left of Run fixit is checked.
  • Click on Finish.
  • Follow the prompts.
  • You will be asked to reboot your computer - please do so. Your system may take longer than usual to load - this is normal.
  • When your system reboots, follow the prompts.
Afterwards HijackThis should launch by itself - if it does not, start it manually.
Click on 'Do a system scan only' and place a checkmark in the boxes to the left of the following entries, by clicking on them:
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{64FD157E-BEF7-4BE5-A1E8-82D8B9D2DB4E}: NameServer = 85.255.113.92,85.255.112.13
O17 - HKLM\System\CS1\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: NameServer = 85.255.113.92 85.255.112.13
O17 - HKLM\System\CS2\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: NameServer = 85.255.116.67 85.255.112.71
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: NameServer = 85.255.113.92 85.255.112.13
CLOSE ALL OPEN WINDOWS AND BROWSERS - EXCEPT HJT and click on Fix checked
** If you have any problems running Fixwareout, try fixing the O17 lines with HJT and then rerun the fix. Make sure that you run HJT where indicated and ensure that the lines are gone before proceeding with the rest of the fix. **
4) Go to Start > Control Panel >Network Connections. Right click your default connection, usually Local Area Connection or Dial-up Connection if you are using dial-up, and left click on Properties.
* Make a note of the settings before you change them just in case you need to put them back how they were.
Double-click on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) item and select the radio button that says Obtain DNS servers automatically. Click OK twice.
5) Go to Start > Run, enter CMD and click OK.
  • At the Dos Prompt Screen, type in cd\ and then press <ENTER>.
  • Now type in ipconfig /flushdns and then press <ENTER>. (notice the space after ipconfig)
  • Close the command prompt window.
6) Reboot your computer in Safe Mode.
  • If the computer is running, shut down Windows, and then turn off the power.
  • Wait 30 seconds, and then turn the computer on.
  • Start tapping the F8 key. The Windows Advanced Options Menu appears. If you begin tapping the F8 key too soon, some computers display a "keyboard error" message. To resolve this, restart the computer and try again.
  • Ensure that the Safe Mode option is selected.
  • Press Enter. The computer then begins to start in Safe mode.
  • Login on your usual account.
7) Navigate to the C:\Windows\Temp folder and delete all the files that you find there.
Do this for all Usernames.
8) Navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Local Settings\Temp and delete all the files that you find there.
Do this for all Usernames.
9) Go to Start > Control Panel > Internet Options.
For I.E. 6 - under Temporary Internet files, click on Delete Files...
Check the box to the left of 'Delete all offline content' and then click on OK.
For I.E. 7 - under Browsing History, click delete...
Under Temporary Internet Files, click Delete files...
10) Ensure that ALL open Windows / Programs / Folders are closed and then run AVG A-S.
  • If it is not already selected, click the Scanner icon at the top and then select the Scan Tab.
  • Click "Complete System Scan"
  • While the scan is in progress the PC should be left otherwise idle - so if you fancy a cuppa, now's the time to put the kettle on!
  • When the scan has completed, any threats that AVG A-S has detected will be displayed.
  • Click the Apply all actions button at the bottom.
  • When AVG A-S has finished, it will display the message "All actions have been applied".
    Saving a report:
  • Click the Save Report button at the bottom left and the "Reports" window will open.
The War of the Cookies
Hello noviciate. The battle is cruel and your plans against the enemy results to victory. I hope so. I will attach the asked reports in the following order: 1)HJT, 2)AVG, 3)fixwareout. The only problem i encountered was an error message after the fixwareout which was sth like : ''Symantec Script Blocking has prevented a script action that could be harmful to you'' Thanks for your help and if you have anything to suggest please let me know.
I wanted to find a file so i tried to use search. When i chose all files and folders and generally when i choose any kind of search it seems like the explorer crashes. It kicks me out from search and for some seconds the screen goes simple. By simple i mean that i see only the wallpaper. I do not know what to doooooo!!!!! Bu hu hu...
