Hi, Sorry I've only just joined this group, and am not sure I'm writing this in the right place. When I try to start my daughter's pc, it comes up with "PXE-E61 : mediatest failure. Check Cable". What cable ? Before she came home from college, she took it in and was told "The problem is that the processor is getting too hot, and cooling sufficiently", and they "don't carry the parts". (I think that should read INsufficiently ?!) She's been back a week, and I've just tried it - but it won't start. I can hear the fan start up, but it seems to stop again. Do you think it just needs a replacement fan?

The full error messages are as follows :
PXE-E61 : Mediatest failure Check cable
PXE-M0F Exiting MacPhyter PXE Rom
Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press key.
