can not turn on windows security center I go to start,control panel and then security,when security opens it reads security center has not started or stopped.restart computer.It did not work.No errors

my truck is red...can you fix it?

a little better description would be nice...like...do you get an error message? why can't you start it? why are you trying to start it? anything that might be helpful

I checked my Security Center and it looked odd also. See attachment. Is this how yours looks?

If so, your AV is controlling the settings. I've got Norton AV 2007 and there's an advanced option to "Show Messages from WXP Security Center" with a warning about duplicate alerts. Checked allows the three options in Security Center, unchecked makes it like the attachment.
