WGA validation and MS XML services

Hi There,

I posted a question with a Microsoft forum because I had issues with Windows Defender and then trying to validate Windows. The response that came back was:

To be very specific, the issue you're having is *NOT* WGA related. It seems to be that your system may be compromised by malware, etc - as your MS XML services are not running correctly (as pointed out by the diagnostics tool).

I would suggest trying to download http://www.microsoft...;displaylang=en and updating your MSXML services, or going to www.support.microsoft.com and filing a Windows XP support request.

I have run all my malware programs and nothing has shown up (and have posted a question under the malware section to double check).

Can anyone help me work out what's wrong with my MS XML services, and is this why I cannot validate Windows anymore?

Here is the diagnostic log that the Microsoft forum asked for:
