I have an annoying problem that has the System Configuration utility coming on everytime I start up my computer. I check the box to stop it coming up but that does not work. In Msconfig everthing seems normal I do not have any startup programs disabled and it even says it is in Normal Startup.
I have tried the xp_nomsconfig script that removes that entry and it doesn't work either.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I did the check disk and have also done a system restore and no change. I may try a system restore again.

Should I try doing a repair of Windows (Home edition)?.
