hi guys,

ive just installed a new dvd burner in my comp its plays disks just fine but for some reason it wont let me burn anything. however the only reason i bought the thing was because i was having the same problem with my old cd burner so im not sure if its the hardware or not. has anyone got any ideas about how to isolate what exactly the problem is and how to fix it?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi. I suggest going to the drive manufacturer's website and downloading more updated drivers for that drive model. There's usually an update you can use.
