Here's one for ya, lets see what we can do :whistling:

Let me preface this with what I have tried.

I have disabled all of the startup items.

I have disabled all of the network interfaces (wireless, nic, etc etc)

I have disabled all on-board devices

I have done a repair install on the computer.

I have scanned with AVG Pro, Adaware and Spybot, all are clean.

I have tested the RAM for several hours with MEM test.

And yet this computer still lags at boot, it happens right after the "Welcome" screen when the desktop picture loads.

Any ideas? Im thinking HDD failing or....maaaaayyyybeeeee psu

i dont think so, my scans came up clean ( i know that doesnt mean anything )

this may sound silly, but good techs will know what i mean....it just doesnt "feel" like malware

should you ever have to do a system restore just remember how you disabled some start-up items
that way you wont have to go through a long boot-up
