[size=3][font=Comic Sans Ms][size=3][color=#CC0000]When i boot up my computer it gives me a black screen with white writing saying that the battery is low & to press F1 to start up or . . . to go into safe mode. I have been hitting F1 for a couple weeks now.

What do i have to do to fix this? I have a Dell inspiron 8100 series that is about 4-5 yrs old with window's xp running on it.

Thanks!!!

If you have a desktop finding and replacing the battery is pretty simple, it's about the size of a nickle and shiny stainless steel. They are only about three dollars, be sure to obseve polarity. If you have a laptop consult the makers info for replacing.
