Hi --

I am a new poster, and am hoping you can help with my version of the problem of svchost.exe hogging all system resources. I have executed all the steps in your instruction file prior to submitting this log file (Ad-aware, Spybot, virus scan, and how Hijack This). The symptoms I am experiencing are very slow transition between web pages in IE, specifically when I enter a new url in the address line. IE seems to respond reasonably when I select from my Favorites list, or when moving between pages within a site, but when I enter a new url in the address line, IE hangs for several minutes, and when I reviewed Task Manager to isolate the problem, svchost.exe is the process that is spiking to 90+% during this time. The url will eventually resolve and open the page after several minutes. I have also seen the svchost.exe spike following other operations outside IE, but the IE symptoms are the most specific.

I would greatly appreciate any help or advice you can offer!
Thank you...log contents follow...
