I am trying to install a new inernal hard drive on an IBM T41.

I set the computer to reboot from the cd drive. The computer boots to the recovery disk. After I initiate the reformating I keep getting the following error message - error #88 Unable to find correct drive.

I keep getting this message. Anybody have any ideas?

Thanks for any help

Have you verified the jumper settings on the hard drive, and also the cable connections?

This is an EXAMPLE if what I am talking about: http://wdc.custhelp....amp;p_topview=1

For your specific hard drive, refer to the manufacturers documentation. All jumper settings and cable connections must be correct for the hard drive to work.
