Hello,

Been trying to defrag and keep getting the same report. I've tried to track these 3 files down and can't find zip! The best I could do was get rid of RecordNow's tutorial movies which was about 3 GB, but it didn't make any difference with those 3 files.

What are they?

How do I find them?

And how do I get that space back?

Thanks for any info!

You say you can't find them but the path to those three files is shown clear enough at the bottom of your post (ignore the bracketted numbers and everything else after it at the end of each path line).

You may have to temporarily close explorer.exe and use a command-line window to delete them if they won't delete with explorer.exe running.

Thanks pip22 for the reply,

I've tried everything I know to find them. I've done serches. Search the entire file name, and it comes up nothing. I've went into My Computer and tried to follow the file path... I get as far as Compaq_Owner, inside there is no Application Data.

I've went into Program Files looked through Sonic, nothing in there with the name RN!187.tmp or even anything with 2 or more GB.

Am I just not getting it, what am I doing wrong?

Just forgot to say that when I do a search it says:

Application Data\Sonic\RecordNow!\RN!187.tmp is not a valid folder

Update:

changed search preferences to look in hidden files and folders and they all came up, why would they have been in there? Is it safe to delete them?
