Monitor will not turn on yellow light stays on

I hooked up the computer I just had fixed, Computer turns on but monitor does not come on.I hooked the same monitor to my new computer and it works fine.HELP

TWo possibilities that spring to mind:

1. The graphics card has been dislodged during PC repair. Open the case and check it's firmly seated in the slot. Switch off mains power first, and touch the metal casing to discharge static before touching any components.

2. The graphics card has been damaged during repair and will have to be replaced.

It's not a driver issue (missing or corrupted driver) because that would not stop the monitor getting a video signal. Definitely hardware.
