I,m having problems with IE7 updated browser, particularly scanner problems with my
HP all-in-one which is not compatible with IE7. My XP system restore won't let me go
back as far as the install date and HP has tried to help to no avail. Also slows computer.

Can I download IE6 browser and then uninstall IE7? what is the best way to go back
to the older IE6 browser? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

You should be able to uninstall and that will allow you to revert back to IE6.

If I uninstall IE7 that won't leave me without a browser will it? If I
don't have a browser, I can't get online to install one can I? Scary
situation.

It will still leave IE6. It only takes out IE7.
You should also try the Firefox browser by mozilla. Very nice, and is not targeted like MS/ IE products.

I installed firefox along with some goggle "goodies" and my computer
ran like an 80 yr old grandma with a broken leg. May have been the
google pack, but I unloaded all those downloads. Got most of the
speed back except for what I lost with the IE7 download. Thanks

Thanks 123Runner, I uninstalled IE7 and I'm back in business. My
scanner works and I'm faster. I also uninstalled Yahoo toolbar which
was also slowing me down. Thanks again.

Glad to see you're in business.
IE7 either goes in great or creates issues.
MS sent the upgrade down as a critical update. Those individuals that had the system set to check, download, and install, got it and also got the surprize that it was there.

FYI: some slowdowns also could be anything running in the background to your startup group/ malware/ spyware/ etc.
