Can you right click the task bar, click task manager, click file, click new task, type sfc /scannow then click OK

This should start a scan, after it completes, reboot the PC and then try the apllication CD again

CODE 37

Run REGEDIT, open up the following folders:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
SYSTEM
CurrentControlSet
Control
Class
{4D36E965-E325 -11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

After clicking on {4D36E965-E325 -11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} you should see two settings on the right-hand side:
"Upperfilters"
"Lowerfilters"

Click on each of them, press DELETE and click YES.

The problem is fixed but the hardway.
i had to uninstall Win XP and reinstall again.
The problem was that when i reinstalled my XP i forgot to insert the Drivers CD and install it right way and a started installing the Windows XP updated, and i think that when i installed the driver it was to late becouse it did not found my computer the way it expected becouse i had updated my XP. it got confused and was unable to install some drivers.
