Hi all-
A few weeks ago I grew frustrated with the lagging speed I was experiencing with my computer. I ran Ad Aware SE Personal, got rid of spyware, and later ran my CA anti-virus scan. It picked up 3 viruses (all 3 were listed as trojans and had the phrase "exploit" in their description). I couldn't figure out how to have the CA software quarintine or clean the viruses, so I closed it to do some research. When I ran the scan again, I got nothing. There's also no indication that it's been cleaned. Also odd...since then, my Task Manager window has changed. The tabs across the top are gone and the only way to get it to close is to shut down the computer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.
