Missing add/remove programs

When I open the control panel and then add/remove programs, the programs previously listed are blank. I have win ME but cannot restore to an earlier date so must try some thing else. Any suggestions???

Have you added anty new hardware software or windows updates before this happened.

try useing the start-up disk..use option 1...the alt f and exit..in dos type scanreg/restore..see if that works..
