Hi. I'm running Outlook Express 6 on a Windows XP service pack 2 system. When I close Outlook Express I receive this error each time:

First message:
"DirectDBNotifyWndProc: msimn.exe
The exception unknown software exception (0x0eedfade) occured in the application at..."

When I click OK I get a second error:

"Runtime error 217 at.."

I've not updated any software recently and have run a full virus and spyware check using Spybot, AdAware and Windows Defender.

Any ideas?
Thanks
David

You could try to manually reinstall Outlook Express. See this link for instructions.

Be sure to backup your OE data first. See Microsoft article 270670 for detailed instructions.

Please post the results, good or bad.
