I have Windows XP Professional and recently I cannot get my monitor to shut down with the power mode settings, I have disabled my screensaver and set the power mode for the monitor to shut down in 20 minutes? Nothing has worked, can someone please help !! Is there something in the Bios that I need to adjust? Thanks for any help..I have posted in another forum also but no replies?? Help !! :whistling:

There can be conflicts if you use both BIOS power management and windows power management at the same time. I will use the BIOS management over windows every time. I just make sure it is turned on in the bios to shut the monitor off after a period of time and then i will go into the windows management and set everything to NONE. There is usually a place in the BIOS to set power management.
