Now a caution window saying that a \WINDOWS folder already exists that may contain a Windows installation that will be overwritten.

You do the honors because I would use 4 letters! LOL.
What do you want to name this one??
And, will this now be 3 windows on there?

Name it WINDOWS
This will take us back to the original directory and no, we will be at two installs. This time we'll have way less to do when we're finished with the install.

OK. But I liked mine better! LOL!
Did we not delete the old Windows? I just got the same cauition screen again, saying that the existing one will be overwritten. What now?

If you named it WINDOWS, it's a generic warning as there is only a WINDOWS0 on the drive at the moment.

Just let it finish installing. There are no drivers to hold this install up. We'll install drivers when setup is complete. Then install SP2.

Right back to the same place on that screen "installing windows." The one that gets stuck on 33mins. It didn't start that process over, instead just went back to the old place. I will ride it out,but this timeI know what it will do.

It was hanging on drivers last time...we haven't installed any yet.
It should blast right on past the 33 minute mark.
Let me know how it's going...

Nope. It likes that 33 minute mark. I don't care what we do now, except that I have pictures I don't want to lose that I didn't get entirely backed up because when I was doing it, things weren't working very well. If I can just save those, let's do whatever it takes. If not, I'll just.....cry.

Let me try to duplicate this on my test box...this will take me a bit as I have to break an install and get around it. I'll get back to you as quickly as I can. Meanwhile, let it sit and churn on the 33 minute mark. No hardware connected, correct?
