Hey,
Every 24 hours my internet connection hangs, and then reconnects. This doesn't happen at a specific time of the day, but exactly 24hours after I first connected. This is somewhat annoying because I leave my computer on 24/7 and it messes with certain programs I also leave on 24/7(instant messaging, etc).

I am using windows xp sp2, and my router is a Linksys BEFW11S4. I searched the configuration(192.168.1.1) but I didn't find anything relevant.

Is this the ISP renewing my ip address?(I use Charter HSI) If that's the case, is there anything I can do to keep it from confusing my computer programs? lol

If this is in the T&Cs of your internet provider, then that's what will happen and nothing you can do about it. Check your T&Cs first.
