Graphics card=GPU?

Well, was just wonderin, is GPU same as graphics card? and lets say if my computer often crashes, did the graphics card hav something to do with it? something like it's too old or sumthin like dat.

GPU, stands for Graphic Processing Unit, It is the chip that runs your graphics card. If you are having problems, describe them to us and give as much informaion as possible and we will do our best to help you diagnose your problem.

Okay... Its like what you all always heard of, the BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) bla³. To tell the truth, I'd even gotta all type of the BSOD! (mwahahahahaha) Yeah, I mean ALL. I'd visited the (meh, cant remember what page was it) that describes what BSOD type is it, and I think it could be sound card, modem or the graphics card itself... The sound card is not signed by M$ and so as the modem...

*and thx for the info bout the GPU btw...
