what brand of memory is that 256? I've seen the cheaper brands not even work. Take it back and get Kingston or Crucial.....

i am using kingston both sticks are good need to dig deeper

two 128x2 work two 256mb x2 don"t work one 256 & one 128 work what about the bios -that i know nothing about?

what brand/make/modle pc is this? do you know the make of the motherboard? are you using on-board video?

with both 256 in, does the bios screen (on bootup) show 256 or 512?
