After having been used a bluethooth dongle, every attempt to use my analog
internal modem fail. Querying the modem, I get the following message:
"The port that the modem is attacched could not be opened. This may be the
result of hardware conflict."
The error register reports:
"Opening the modem device failed with error 000005aa"
No conflict is visible, modem is attached to port 3 IRQ9, every attempt to
change the COM port ends with a message indicating the port is already in
used by some other application, no other application is running, unistalling
and re-installing the modem and the bloothoth devices do not help,
unistalling all ghost peripherals is unuseful.
I have a nec versa s900 laptop, the modem is agere97, system is win xp sp2,
and the doongle is belkin
Anybody could help me?
thanks in advance
