Hey I have exactly the same problem - had it for about a week now and it's really pissing me off. Mine occurred after i downloaded a bit torrent search tool and installed it. I thought it be ok because it was on a PC World website but to my dismay (i am silly to have not noticed) it was some kind of copied website.
Anyway, I have tried AVG, AdAware SE and MS Antispyware. Each one finds something after everytime I rebooted. Have disabled the System Restore to purge out the old restore points (in case they were hiding in there), but still no luck. Have noticed everytime after a reboot it changes the host file in 3 places. MS Antispyware picks it up and blocks it (apparently) but it still seems to change. Someone please help, I am about to kick someone's arse.
