I was not 100% certain that Neowin.net/forum was responsible for the infection, and I opened it again to check on a topic reply I got via e-mail.
This time nothing was detected by Norton, but I noticed several things:
*he forum page took a long time to load
*I could hear the tower of my computer working at a fast speed
*My pointer became the hourglass for about 10-15 seconds (which usually does not happen when I am browsing the internet unless I'm waiting for a .pdf file to load)
*Firefox froze for about 5 seconds
I had finished scanning the system with Norton about two minutes before initially visiting the forum, and the scan was clean. The infection definately occured from said forum, as other members of it have also had the same problem and the Norton log says the trojan was detected two minutes after the full scan completed.

I run Windows XP SP2 (home edition), use firefox 1.5, and have SpywareBlaster and WinPatrol on, all with the latest updates/patches/definitions.
Does the system look clean? And is there anything else I can do to make sure there are no traces of any infection left?
Also, can anyone tell me what this virus/trojan actually does to the system? Does it deleted any files, etc.?
