Motherboard Drivers?

Okay so im not sure if have any cd's for it,
but I have a Asus P4P800 SE Motherboard, and everything is onboard.
However, after reinstalling, i lost use of my sound card, so i installed a SoundMAX 4.0 Driver.
After installing, my sounds returned, but i found out I cannot use my Microphone.

Any ideas?

edit: I reformated my computer.
