Media player not working... random freeze

ok, ill get to the point.. i start up my computer as normal.. and i open WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYer... and then i get this random half-freeze.. when this happens.. i CAN move the mouse.. and i can open up task manager(but the bar shows no usage) and i can use the keyboard to just open the start menu.. i cant use any arrow keys.. and using the mouse i cant click on anything.. but i can move it.. this happens sometimes.. but Everytime when i try to open windows media player... wow windows you'v done it again.. lol

Any suggestions?? :whistling:
