The help I've seen the staff members on this site give is excellent!

HOWEVER: Please remember that people have problems outside of Malware and spyware. The majority of the help goes there, and with due cause - a lot of computer problems begin with a nasty virus or spyware infestation. But, like my own problem, there are other issues out there that would appreciate some major help, but don't get nearly as much attention as the adware, spyware, and malware issues, nor the virus problems.

Granted, I don't think it would be wise to take too much attention away from those major issues just to help someone figure out why AOL isn't working (my own problem), but ... perhaps a little extra attention could be given to those who don't have virus/spyware issues? Just a little. :tazz:

I'm with you. I've only been here today, and I couldn't believe all the posts for Malware Removal. I've just been caught up in looking at all that and haven't even noticed any of the other forums.

Seems that the forums is set up mostly for that.
Too much is put on to Malware Removal...

Spyware removal does take some special skills, and because it's such a big problem, it occupies many of our resources. Our mission is to provide free computer help, it just so happens that most the requests for help are spyware related.

I agree the other areas of the forum may not have as much attention focused on them, and that's unfortunate. However, this forum is based on user-to-user help:

Additionally, if you can assist another member by sharing your computing knowledge, please feel free to post a reply!

If you can provide some assistance to someone -- please jump in (with the exceptoin of the HiJack forum). :tazz:

When people regularly visit and make contributions in the form of good replies, we generally take notice and ask them to become a staff member.

Hmm... I just joined yesterday, and I thought this was just an open forum - I've been replying with different ideas to people's posts. I didn't realize there was an actual staff. Hope I didn't cause any problems. ;) :tazz: ;)
