Which web browser are you using?.
Maybe some browser's files are corrupted (something not very common if it's a brand new laptop).
Try installing another browser like Firefox and check if it still happens

Hi

I had this problem since the beginning (4 days now)
With IE7 so I installed Firefox, same pb

In firefox, i have in "error consol", "script problem"

I did some trick with the proprieties of the display/web/uncheck "desktop closed" and check and uncheck
Did nothing

The pb is what i did with my old laptop works, and on the new one it doesn't

I will probably "reinstall windows"

Any more idea

You could try running this command from Start -> Run.
sfc /scannow.
This will scan for any corrupted system files and replace them. You'll probably need to insert Windows CD in the CD drive.

It that does not help:
As your laptop is new it must have warranty so you could try contacting the store where you bought it. They might also be able to help you.

Maybe you are referring to the error checking tool available at your hard drive's properties?.
If that's the case i'm not sure if it's the same as sfc, but you could try both.
Remember that to run the system check with sfc you have to type sfc[space]/scannow
