sfc /scannow
This should replace any corrupted/missing system files and will hopefully fix things. You may need your Windows disc in your CD drive for this.

This could be due to some corrupted files in AOL or Windows. Try uninstalling AOL and installing it. If that does not help then try running this command from Start->Run
sfc /scannow

no not really, but it keeps popping up everytime the computer turns on and I want to get rid of it. lol.

Startup tab - all sections can you see any listings for AOL if yes untick them
