Hi
I was wondering if my motherboard has a speaker on it as I can't find it. Does anyone know?
It's a Gigabyte GA-M55plus-S3G.
Here is a pic:

i don't see one built in..but that is a little grainy when zoomed in..most of the time the speaker will actually be part of (or at least come with) the PC case...and attach to the motherboard via the headers where the power/reset switches connect

Ah ok
I was just 'testing' my PC earlier (just the motherboard, HD, PSU and dvd drive are installed, no cpu yet) and there was no beep when I turned it on, should it make a beep or does it only do it when the CPU is installed?

Some boards don't beep at all whatever's plugged into them, save for standard memory and absent graphic situations.
