what size power supply do i need?

what size power supply would i need for my sons pc? it had a 300 watt power supply, but i have a spare at 250, a friend is bringing over. will it still work? or will the power be too little? and how would i find out, what size i need?

well themotherboard says it is a k7t turbo version 3. with an amd processor. ati rage 128 graphics card. 3com nic card. soundblaster audio. 30 gb hard drive. floppy drive. cd rom. msi board.

a 400 watt or 500 watt would do you just fine.

He is not a gamer, is he?

Get a Antec or Thermaltake. There good but people can post other good brands as well.
