I just realized that I never did finish going through your Winpfind log so I'm doing that now. I've already noticed a few suspicious things there and an entry in your Hijack This log I missed.

I missed this in the HJT log:

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [ctpmon] ctpmon.exe

The Winpfind log says the file is missing so I don't think it is active.

* Run Hijack This again and put a check by this entry. Close ALL windows except HijackThis and click "Fix checked"

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [ctpmon] ctpmon.exe

Restart your computer then come back here and post a new HJT log.

* Also do you know what these are?:

Jahshaka.lnk -> %AllUsersDesktop%\Jahshaka.lnk -> [Ver = | Size = 693 bytes | Created Date = 03-02-2007 22:03:42 | Attr = ]

jahshaka-2.0-installer.exe -> %UserDesktop%\jahshaka-2.0-installer.exe -> [Ver = | Size = 15710297 bytes | Created Date = 03-02-2007 21:59:00 | Attr = ]

Do you know what jahshaka is?

* Click Here and download Killbox and save it to your desktop.

* Double-click on Killbox.exe to run it.
  • Put a tick by Delete on Reboot.
  • Copy the following list of files to clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose copy):

    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\ctpmon.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\secure32.html
    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\secure32.html

  • Next in Killbox go to File > Paste from clipboard
  • Click on the All Files button.
  • Next click on the button that has the red circle with the white X in the middle.
  • It will ask for confimation to delete the files on next reboot and ask you if you want to reboot now.
  • Click Yes and let the computer reboot.
* After it reboots, go here and run the F-Secure Online Scanner.
  • Follow the Instructions on the F-Secure page for proper installation.
  • Accept the License Agreement.
  • After the ActiveX installs,Click Full System Scan
  • When the download completes,the scan will begin automatically.
  • The scan will take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  • When the scan completes, click the Automatic cleaning (recommended) button.
  • Click the Show Report button and Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply along with a new Hijack This log.
Note: You have to use Internet Explorer to do the scan.

My PC feels fine. I think during our way you killed the [bleep] thing.

Nevertheless, here are the logs you requested.

Thank you.

You should be good to go now! :whistling:

* If I had you use Killbox to delete any files, go ahead and delete the C:\!Killbox folder then empty the Recycle Bin.

* Check this out for info on how to tighten your security settings and some good free tools to help prevent this from happening again.

* Go to Windows update and install all "High Priority Updates".

* Now turn off System Restore:

On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click "Properties".
Click the "System Restore" tab.
Put a check by "Turn off System Restore on all drives".
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Restart your computer, turn System Restore back on and create a restore point.

To turn System Restore back on:

On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click "Properties".
Click the "System Restore" tab.
Remove the check by "Turn off System Restore on all drives".
Click Apply, and then click OK.

To create a restore point:

Single-click "Start" and point to "All Programs".
Mouse over "Accessories", then "System Tools", and select "System Restore".
In the System Restore wizard, select the box next the text labeled "Create a restore point" and click the "Next" button.
Type a description for your new restore point. Something like "After trojan/spyware cleanup". Click "Create" and you're done.
