I have a P4 system, with an Elitegroup (ECS) model P4M266-8233 system board,
Award bios ID 04/30/2002-P4M266-8233-6A6LWE1BC, 512 megs ram.
It has started halting (with no error beeps) during Post. I've also noticed that it doesn't always see all of the 512 meg chip, ocassionally only seeing 256 megs of it ( single 512meg DDR module ).
Can this be a power supply issue do you think?
Any help appreciated...
thx

try changing the slot where the memory is in, can the board handle this amount of memory and is it the right kind? (i.e. pc3200 vs pc4000 or pc2700)
