i just installed vista home premium on my notebook. I have a Dell XPS m1210 w/ an Nvidia GeForce GO 7400 video card. it has 256mb of ram dedicated to the video card but when i run all my tests it only shows 64mb. is this a known issue?

What tests are you running? Does the compatibility wizard show any problems with your video card displaying Aero?

Also, be aware that nVidia drivers are still beta, and the WHQL drivers aren't due out for a while yet.

actually i shouldnt say "test", i just checked system information and display adapters. usually running XP it would show my dedicated 256, you might be right also that the drivers may not be up to date. my gaming peformance is still great, however you can understand my concern. i have noticed that ALL laptops i have at work w/ video cards all show 64mb
