Hi there TOOMINATOR

Trojan.PSW.Gip is a Trojan horse that tries to steal passwords and may download a file from a specified Web site.

Infostealer.Banker.B is a Trojan horse that attempts to steal financial information. It also has a limited backdoor functionality.

To that end I would not use any online banking until your system is clean, and inform your bank that you may have a security problem

To see the current state of your system please

* Click here to download HJTsetup.exe
  • Save HJTsetup.exe to your desktop.
  • Doubleclick on the HJTsetup.exe icon on your desktop.
  • By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Hijack This.
  • Continue to click Next in the setup dialogue boxes until you get to the Select Addition Tasks dialogue.
  • Put a check by Create a desktop icon then click Next again.
  • Continue to follow the rest of the prompts from there.
  • At the final dialogue box click Finish and it will launch Hijack This.
  • Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.
  • Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
  • Come back here to this thread and Paste the log in your next reply.
  • DO NOT have Hijack This fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.
I will also require an uninstall list

Open HijackThis, click Config, click Misc Tools
Click "Open Uninstall Manager"
Click "Save List" (generates uninstall_list.txt)
Click Save, copy and paste the results in your next post

Hi TOOMINATOR you are showing remnants of 2 additional AV's, Command Software Systems, Inc and McAfee SecurityCenter. These elements could slow down your system and interfere with AVG.

Also your Java is severely out of date as the current version is 1.6. I will help you fix that next post

There is a removal tool for McAfee, but I cannot find one for Command anti-virus so I will remove that manually later

McAfee removal tool here
Click Save and save the file to any folder on the computer.
Navigate to the folder where the file is saved.
Double-click MCPR.exe.
Click Run. A Command Line window will be displayed, and then close automatically. Wait for a second Command Line window to be displayed. (Do not double-click MCPR.exe again.) The program will begin the cleanup.
Observe the installation, which could take several minutes. The following message will be displayed in the Command Line window:

The machine must reboot to complete the un-installation. Reboot now? [y.n]

Press Y on the keyboard.
Wait for the computer to restart.

TO WORK

Initial analysis of your log shows no apparent malware. However just to be on the safe side could you please do the following
Download WindPFind

Extract WinPFind.zip to your c:\ folder.

Reboot your computer into Safe Mode

Then open c:\WinPFind and double-click on WinPFind.exe.
When the program is open, click on the Start Scan button to start scanning your computer. Be patient as this scan may take a while.
When it is done, it will show a log and tell you the scan is completed. Reboot your computer back to normal mode and and post the contents of c:\WinPFind\WinPFind.txt as a reply to this topic. :whistling:

One question I have been unable to find any data on the la la Plug-in (Remove only) do you know what it is ?

WARNING: not all files found by this scanner are bad. Consult with a knowledgable person before proceeding.

If you see a message in the titlebar saying "Not responding..." you can ignore it. Windows somethimes displays this message due to the high volume of disk I/O. As long as the hard disk light is flashing, the program is still working properly.

Hi TOOMINATOR

I'M PRETTY SURE I DID THE WINDPFIND THING O.K. BUT I'M NOT SURE BECAUSE I COULDN'T USE THE LINK YOU GAVE ME SO I AD-LIBBED

My apologies I gave you the link to the page not the file  but you did fine

So to work you do not look to bad, a few files to delete though

Please download the Killbox by Option^Explicit.

Note: In the event you already have Killbox, this is a new version that I need you to download.
  • Save it to your desktop.
  • Please double-click Killbox.exe to run it.
  • Select:
    • Delete on Reboot
    • then Click on the All Files button.
  • Please copy the file paths below to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose copy):

    C:\WINDOWS\abiloader.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\RMAgentOutput.dll

  • Return to Killbox, go to the File menu, and choose Paste from Clipboard.
  • Click the red-and-white Delete File button. Click Yes at the Delete on Reboot prompt. Click OK at any PendingFileRenameOperations prompt (and please let me know if you receive this message!).
If your computer does not restart automatically, please restart it manually.

If you receive a message such as: "Component 'MsComCtl.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid." when trying to run Killbox, click here to download and run missingfilesetup.exe. Then try Killbox again.

Also I would like you to go to Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and remove the following (if present):

Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v1.4.2_03

Then download the latest version of Java from here

NEXT

Then go to START>RUN
Type in services.msc
In the services box that appears scroll down and locate on the right hand pane DvpApi
Double click the name and in the box that appears select STOP
And in the drop down box called startup type select disabled
Select ok and close.

Re-open HiJackThis and place a check mark alongside the following line

O23 - Service: DvpApi (dvpapi) - Command Software Systems, Inc. - C:\Program Files\Common Files\Command Software\dvpapi.exe

Then re-use Killbox, same method as before and copy the following into it

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Command Software

Reboot

If you could now follow this up with another HJT log :whistling:

Hi TOOMINATOR your log now appears clean :whistling:

With regards to Java now run the installation file, by double clicking it.

Reference the command software by stopping and disabling the service you allowed Killbox to remove it. Which is why it no longer shows on the HJT log.

This is now the only reference that I can see to McAfee and it is an active x control which can be safely deleted via HiJackThis

O16 - DPF: {BCC0FF27-31D9-4614-A68E-C18E1ADA4389} (DwnldGroupMgr Class) - http://download.mcaf...,26/mcgdmgr.cab

You may now delete killbox, winpfind and the McAfee removal tool.

Now to get you off to a good start we will re-set your restore points so that all the bad stuff is gone for good. Then if you need to restore at some stage you will be clean. There are several ways to reset your your restore point but this is my method:

1. Select Start > All Programs > Accessories > System tools > System Restore.
2. On the dialogue box that appears select Create a Restore Point
3. Click NEXT
4. Enter a name e.g. Clean
5. Click CREATE

You now have a clean restore point, to get rid of the bad ones:

1. Select Start > All Programs > Accessories > System tools > Disk Cleanup.
2. In the Drop down box that appears select your main drive e.g. C
3. Click OK
4. The System will do some calculation and the display a dialogue box with TABS
5. Select the More Options Tab.
6. At the bottom will be a system restore box with a CLEANUP button click this
7. Accept the Warning and select OK again, the program will close and you are done

Now that you are clean, to help protect your computer in the future I recommend that you get the following free program:
  • SpywareBlaster to help prevent spyware from installing in the first place.
It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system and to keep them updated.

To keep your operating system up to date visit Be aware of what emails you open and websites you visit.

To learn more about how to protect yourself while on the internet read this article by Tony Klien: So how did I get infected in the first place?

If you have any further queries or problems please come back to this thread as I shall continue monitoring it for a while
