:tazz: When starting and shutting down windows it run very slow. I ran Registry Mechanic, STOPzilla, Pc Bug Doctor, Disk Cleanup, Defragmenter and Norton. I even ran Msconfig to uncheck some programs running in the background. I don't know what else to do. My computer is pretty protected all the around.

SP2 does slow a PC down, you can get a trial of tune up and run disc clean up then registry clean up then go to optimize to run registry defrag, this will make sure you do not have any incomplete installs / uninstalls which XP may be looking for when it loads / shuts down

TuneUp
