Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what Apache Tomcat is? It sems to be something to do with the internet. My PC rebooted while I was away and then when I got back Apache Tomcat was installed, IE and Firefox have both been slow since and somepages won't load at all but instead I get this:

HTTP Status 404 - /search

type Status report

message /search

description The requested resource (/search) is not available.
Apache Tomcat/5.5.16

Coincidently it happens a lot trying to look at the next page of google search when looking up about removing apache tomcat.

I hope someone here knows what this is and if I need to do anything about it.

Thanks,
Danny.

Hi djchk,

Have you looked for it in your add/remove thingy in your control panel? Or just finding it's files on your hard drive and ripping it out if it's not in your add/remove thing?

Something to think about...

Removal is fairly straight forward. Tomcat

Remove the service named 'Tomcat5'

C:\> tomcat5 //DS//Tomcat5

Hey -=blaster=-,

If you told me that I'd throw rocks at you cause I'd have no idea what you meant. So are you saying go to Start> run> cmd> then enter C:\> tomcat5 //DS//Tomcat5 at the command prompt then > Enter?

Are those Windows commands or Linux or will that work with both?

Just curious Boo.
