How can I change my homepage to the Google Desktop page?

To set Google Desktop as your homepage, visit Google Desktop and click the "Set As Homepage" link below the search box. To set Google as your homepage, visit Google and click the "Make Google Your Homepage!" link.

To change your homepage in Internet Explorer, please follow these steps:

1. Go to "Tools" > "Internet Options." If you're using Internet Explorer 7, you may need to press Alt-T on your keyboard to open this menu.
2. Click on the "General" tab.
3. Enter your desired homepage (for example, http://news.google.com) in the "Home Page" box.
4. Click "OK" to save this preference.

give that a try
