Have been tying to install Weather Eye originally downlloaded from www.theweathernetwork.com with the file WeatherEyeinstaller.exe, and download comes though ok but setup gives me following info. "Install Fail" with Socket error 10061. Any help on this?

ive downloaded the weather eye to several computers
the installation was ok on all of them

but all were different firewalls

at the office they were using windows firewall
sygate
panda
trend
norton
windows firewall

they all seem to be ok with the weather network server

if you want to rule out the firewall or it might even help your problem
try disabling your firewall until the installs complete

or you may have a program that just blocks certain sites

heres the weather eye download site

I successfully downloaded and installed weather eye a few weeks ago, and uninstalled it due to memory restrictions on my harddrive, which will shortly be replaced by a larger one, and had no problems at that time. but will give it a go using your link and if that fails i will cripple windows firewall until download is finished. Hopefully I won't catch something.

unless you can configure firewall

you can even try this

try adding the weather address in your internet options
tools
internet options
security tab
trusted sites
paste this in the add

http://www.theweathernetwork.com/

click ok and ok try installing it again

Install completed sucessfully without going to internet options by merely using link you sent me, must have had a bad link before.

Thanks again.
