Language bar unstable and does not dock

Soon after I upgraded to Vista Home Premium from XP Media Centre I noticed that the language bar has become unstabe and disappears on its own accord. Also it refuses to obey commands from Control panel to dock it on the taskbar. It just hovers semi-transparently on the desktop and may disappear at any moment/ Restart returns it to the above state. Has anyone come across this problem, I wonder?
