When I attempted to uninstall "Microsoft Visual Web Developer 2005 Express Edition - ENU" an error message come up and says: "The Windows Installer package: c:\program files\microsoft visual web developer 2005 express edition - enu\vs_setup.msi could not be opened.

Choose Retry to try again. Choose Cancel for exit setup."

"A problem has been encountered while loading the setup components. Canceling setup."

On the contrary - look again at posts #2 and #3. The poster registered the software, then was able to uninstall it.

If this doesn't really apply to you, please post back.

From this MSDN link:

How do I register?* To register any Visual Studio Express Edition, simply run your Express Edition and click Help -> Register Product.

The program won't open, it gave me a error message: "C:\Programs Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\Common7\IDE\VWDExpress.exe"

"This application has failed to start because the application configuration is inncorect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem."

Also download the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility. It might help get it uninstalled.

So, the software won't open.

You can't get it to uninstall.

You can't get it to repair/reinstall.

Windows Uninstaller Cleanup doesn't list it.

Here are some additional posts regarding uninstalling:

If you can't find the answers at those links, please post back.
