tryed everything help, windows open very slow, close slow kinda rolls down the screen. i put norton scan, reg cleaner, did msconfig, defragmented and cleaned out internet clutter? they found alot of problems and fixed them but runs a bit better but screens still go down slow and explorer opens slow????

Here's something more to try. You can make Windows do all its houskeeping. There are a number of tasks that Windows does when the system is idle. Next time you're ready to turn off your computer, instead, disconnect (pull the plug) from the internet, close all your programs (everything that is not Windows), and paste this into the "Run" box :
%windir%\system32\Rundll32.exe advapi32.dll,ProcessIdleTasks
Click OK. Leave it alone. No mouse movement. No Nothing. Nada.
Let it run for at least an hour. Now log off first, and shutdown from the "Welcome" screen.
If you don't have a working second account and therefore don't have a "Welcome" screen with shutdown button, log off and then log on. Once your account is fully loaded things should be (at least- some) better. Doing it again won't make any more difference. This is something that Windows is scheduled to do about every three days when it finds the system idle. It is not completely necessary to close all the programs either, but sure won't hurt this first time. Next time you'll likely only need to wait 15min or so til it's done.
