I've read a couple of postings here that are very close to my problem. I've tried the solutions but it's not working.
The other day, after clicking on a file of dubious nature, the hourglass next to my pointer began to appear at regular four second intervals. Every four seconds it pops up. When I check out the Task Manager, it shows a constant 25% rise in CPU power. Then, most of the time, I briefly see rundull32.exe pop up.
I have AVG free on the computer. I ran HiJack, CC Cleaner, and AdAware. Those three programs did find some malware. I deleted all the files (I'm sorry, I forget the names) and restarted the computer. Well, first of all I couldn't get any internet connection. I had to use the Windows restore. Second, the computer reports back as being "clean".....but that hourglass and 25% rise keep happening!
This is driving me nuts. Can anyone help? Here is the Hijack log. Thanks in advance!
