Hello people, I hope you will be able to help me out of this situation.

I currently have a laptop running windows XP SP2 and am having a winlogon.exe error coming up when I boot up windows. Also when I try to shut down, a blue screen flashes up really quickly and the computer re-boots instead of shutting down.

The error reads as follows:

EventType: BEX P1: winlogon.exe P2: 0.0.0.0. P3: 00000000
P4: unknown P5: 0.0.0.0. P6: 00000000 P7: 01bc36a2
P8: c0000005 P9: 00000008

All this seems to have happened after an instant access file installed itself to my computer while on the net although I have no idea if it is related. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Darren

p.s. I am running zonealarm and it keeps telling me that kernels88.exe is trying to connect to the net. Thanks
