hey guys, i found some tips on other posts and ran them all.
Still I can't re-intall Itunes. It says there is an older version. I already removed all traces of itunes and quicktmie as best as I could. Even manually removing any itunes, pcast, ipod entries in the registry.

Ran Microsoft's tool for cleaning the registry

Ran the cleanup tips listed in this Apple support doc

And still no go. Problem started with an error message in a working itunes 7 install. i removed it, got the new version, and thats the one that says theres an older version installed.

I'd sure appreciate any help. I have experience in other areas and promise to help out!
Thanks much!.
