just came to my attention that an old purchased cpu has an evaluation copy...

how do i keep an eye on the remaining evaluation days...

it should start giving you notifications like "you have X days untill the evaluation runs out"

evaluation programs usually have a 30 day period...

in this case, i 've had the system running well over a year...

anyone know for how long the xp evaluation period is usually set...

other than waiting for the notice to appear is there any way of accessing it from the program itself...

Per MS, the evaluation version runs for 180 days. Wow!! did you get lucky.
Check this link for info right from "the great creator".

MS SUPPORT

Running Winver.exe from the run command will give you the needed info.

Start > Run > winver > enter
